A Messy Rabbit notelet set.

I bought this cd waaaaaay back in March at the NEC in Birmingham! And this is me just finally getting the chance to play with it!! EEKS!!!

I just love the idea of this little note set, they are adorable!, just click and print! I printed off four notelets and four envelopes, then a gift box! Just cut them out and glue them together! How simple and quick is that?! I finished off the box with some ribbon and a couple of Flora Doodles with a brad in the centre.

Introducing Lofty the giraffe!....

Meet McLofty! Cute isn't he! He's part of a the new range of rubber stamps from Joanna Sheen. Here are some samples I have done using this comical character!



This is actually a penny slider card, I used the instructions from the project book from Phyllis, aka Diamond CardCraft, it's from the Shape and Score the Eazi-Score way book and it's absolutley toffee to put together. Looks complicated, but if I can do it then anyone can! The tartan backing papers are also by Joanna Sheen. McLofty was coloured using the Inktense watercolour pencils

Now my wicked and twisted sense of humour kicked in here and turned this one into a 'Wedding' card! lol....I'm sorry if I've offended anyone...but I just couldn't resist!! Especially with those handcuffs!!
I used little jump rings to make the chain on the handcuffs and also for the keychain. Again Lofty was coloured using the Inktense watercolour pencils.

Again Lofty was coloured using the inktense pencils, but I used the Sakura stardust pens to colour the kimono. The backing papers are from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams cdrom. I made a little charm with a tassle and some oriental coins just to finish it off....it's hard to see in this picture but the black card is actually that gorgeous Tapestry card.


Dr Lofty!


George Clooney eat your heart out!! lol .

I just love the base card on this one! It's very fresh and clean looking, and i don't know why but it just seem to say 'hospital' to me. Anyway Lofty was again coloured using the inktense water colour pencils. I just put a piece of plain white card through the big shot with the Swirls cuttlebug folder for the backing, and punched a few flowers to finish it off! I must admit to having a laugh at the 'medicine bottle' though!!! A great get well card this one!

I made this for my son who was sitting his third year exams a couple of weeks ago.
lofty is again coloured using the inktense pencils, but I used the Twinkling H20's to colour his suit and beard! I stamped the horsehoe randomly for the background onto some gold paper and just added some peel-offs to finish it off.


......and last but not least....Lofty Greenfingers!


I deliberately picked the most garish colour for the sweater! lol....I always wear the oldest and most horrible clothes I have when I'm gardening so thought I'd do the same for him!
This card gave me no end of trouble! But I perserved with it, not sure why I had so many problems but I got there in the end. The card is supposed to be shaped like a flower pot?!...again coloured with inktense pencils.....you can tell I love these pencils can't you?!...lol...

Doggie Exploding box!

Well well well, it HAS been a while! Sadly no decorating done as yet! EEKS Everytime I've went to start something else has cropped up and I've had to put the job on hold! Oh the joys of being on your own with a 14 year old!!!

Still, I managed to get this commission done before I pack away all my crafty goodies to be lost in 'cardboard box oblivion'!!

The brief was....quote..." Can you do me one of those fancy litlle boxes in blue with doggies on!" ...unquote!

I hope I've managed to achieve the brief! The backing paper looks decidedly green to me, but as it graduates from blue to green.....well....??......it was the only thing that seemed to look right with those toppers, which are from Little Claires designs. The box was made using Wendie Rhodes Exploding box templates so thankfully I didn;t need to spend all afternoon getting the measurements right!

I have been involved in another project this past few weeks but that will be revealed later.....

going to be missing for a while....

I'm sorry I've not been keeping up to date with you all, you see I'm planning my craftroom/bedroom......I'm going to re-decorate my bedroom in the next few weeks, as I've had the wallpaper and paint for nearly six months! thought it was about time I actually used it!! lol.

Anyway, I'm in need of some serious re-organisation of my craft stuff, so I have decided to invest in some kitchen units from Ikea, the base units will be used for storage for all my bigger stuff, and the wall units will be used for the more less used stuff, as well as stamp and store folders and also my card and paper stash!

I'm also going for a new unit for my computer, this one is corner shaped and will take up much less space, plus it's a 'hide away' so my computer wont's be seen!

It's going to take me quite a while because I'm on my own, and will just need to take my time get things right. I also have a teenager in hand so maybe I can kind of rope him into some 'practical craft' skills.....I.E...wallpaper stripping!!!....I can but dream!!lol

I will post before and after pictures for you when the aforementioned deed is done.

A 'name' wall hanging.

First of all I must apologise for the poor quality of the photos, as the sun was shining brightly my camera flash decided that it was bright enough and just wouldn't fire, even when I did set it to go off, the picures were just too bright!

Anyway I digress. I made this piece for my friend's little girl, I have been looking for an excuse to use up some of my paper stash and this was the very thing. I used the Eazi-Score alphabets large lowercase templates for the letters, drew around them, cut them out, chalked the edges slightly to 'define' the letters, then mounted them onto some matching paper and card, I joined them together using jumprings. finished it off with some fun wooden shapes and some satin ribbon.
Then made a box and embellished it with the girls initial and some pretty paper flowers.

My friend was thrilled with it and so was her little girl.

proud mum moment...

Well I can think of better ways to spend Mothers Day, but hey ho needs must.

Cameron had a karate competition yesterday so that's how I spent my day. Watching my son fight! Still, he fought the best fights I've seen him fight for a long long time, and even managed to get through to the second round of his category, now that was brilliant considering the category he landed in, European champions, Scottish champions and the likes, so it was kind of scary for him.

I was so so proud of him yesterday because he was scared witless and really nervous, but he fought through it and did really well.

I just couldn't resisit buying this 'Action shot' of him, as I don't have one like at all, so me being me, I put it in a frame and it now has pride of place on my livingroom wall for all to see.

Very simple Ruby Wedding Anniversary card.

Now I really struggled for ideas for this card.

I know the couple it's for, and sadly they have just lost a family member to cancer, so the customer thought it would be best to do something simple. It was quite hard really, because it is a milestone anniversary and should be celebrated, but how can you feel like celebrating when something like that happens.

Still I think I've done a fairly decent job, and got it just right.

I used Joanna Sheen's Floral Fantasy cd rom for this card, as I just ADORE those roses on there, which were printed off on glossy photo paper, then mounted onto some red mirri card which I then textured using the Big Shot embossing plates. I also used some of that gorgeous White tapestry card for the main body of the card.

I'm pleased with the results and hope the customer will be too.
