Wedding Stationary.....

I made this set as samples for Sharon Duncan last year. It was from the Neauveau Style Cd rom, and it's a lovely cd. I'm a tad biased as it has a Charles Rennie Macintosh feel to it, but it DID make this set stand out.

Everything you see here is on the cd......except for the little gift bag, which was taken from another one of Sharon's cd's......there are just so many I can't remember which one it was, how sad is that! The napkin rings are actually a long rectangular topper just joined in the middle and they turned out perfectly! Thank you for looking in.

Another exploding box!

Well, here's another one of my fave projects, quite a simple one this time. But I do love these fancy exploding boxes! I used Wendy Rhodes Hexagonal Blooms templates this time, and can I just say for anyone thinking of investing in them, you must! They are very easy to use and only take 2 sheets od A4 card!

This one was made using double sided copper coloured card, which has a lovely gold sheen to it, the images are actually cut from the fan templates from Joanna Sheen's Fashion Boutique cd rom, and then I just finished everything off with those gorgeous FloraDoodles! It was very quick and easy to do, but the do look like they take forever, they really are such fun and bring a whole new look to exploding boxes.
Thanks for popping in and having a look,

Exploding box with a difference!

This is just ONE of my favourite pieces using Joanna Sheen's products! I have a few more but they can wait until another day.

I made this box a while ago with the Perfume Bottles and Dressing Table rubber stamps, also used Wendy Rhodes Exploding Box templates, this is the pyramid one and it was just perfect for use with these stamps, very girlie and elegant.

I stamped it all on cream linen card with gold detailed embossing powder, that's it, didn't colour it or anything.....I was very surprised at how this piece turned out, and I just love it to bits!!!

That's all for today......watch this space for more of my favourite pieces......

I was asked to make this wedding card by a friend for the brother of my son's karate instructor, I used the Tall Stories keepsake embossing board for this one, and embellished the main page with the hearts from the other side of this board, I finished the hearts using some silver peel-offs and a little white Rose and Beads and some wedding bells embellishments that I had in my craft stash, I then used some white organza ribbon down the centre of the card to finish it off a little. I embossed the biggest page with the large flower design form the white celebrations keepsake board, and then embossed the leaves border on the second page also from the Celebrations board. I also made a matching box, although I did have a bit of trouble trying to get one to fit, sadly the 'Bookatrix' box is just too small. Still it's all done now. And hopefully my friend will like it.
It's the first time I've used this board and I must admit I had loads of fun playing with it. It does have loads of possibilities and I found it great for making my own embellishments with too.
Thanks for looking in,

A very special wedding card,

I made this card last week for a friend of mine, he's the brother of my son's Karate instructor, and, he was thrilled to bits when I presented it to him, it was funny really becuase all the fellas were ooohing and ahhhing over it, it was a bit of a strange feeling really, because I've never had guys make such a fuss over my cards before,

The biggest page was embellished using the Birds and Swirls cuttlebug embossing folder with the Big Shot, I also used the Double Heart sizzix die and a domed initial sticker, I did the other side of the page the same but just changed the initial.

The second page was kept fairly simple, I used the inside of the Double Heart Die and just finished things off using some gold peel-offs.

The main page is not as difficult as it looks, I used the White Celebrations keepsake board for the hearts, finished them off with the Stickles range of glitter glue in Crystal, and also used some silk roses, the small book is a rubber stamp I've had in my craft stash for years and just never used it until now. I finished off the 'spine' of the book with a gold 'pull bow' and another small embossed heart.

Thank you all for letting me share some of my 'better' creations with you all, so untill next time, take care everyone,

My first blog!

Well..........I've finally joined the blogging world and created one of my own......it's not up to much just now though, because I've still go to try and figure out all the techy bits'n' pieces, but once that's done I'll be up and running!

Please bear with me while I get things together, I'll try to make things as interesting as possible, and hopefully things won't be too difficult for me to figure out.......I'm looking forward to sharing some of my 'better' creations with everyone....bye for now.
